  1. All, please note this is not final pricing...I intend for these quotes to fall quite a bit as we finalize our designs.

    Thanks,

    Tim

First off I was not notified of any kick-off meeting and since my property is an anchor to this project that bothers me.
I plan on insisting on an 8' high privacy fence not only for privacy but also for security from intrusion from Jamerson Rd.
The idea of a picket fence is absurd.
The county already has a portion of my land for the sewage line and is going to take more, though not as much as others at this point.
I am also pushing for the County to put up a guardrail from my property line where the creek goes under the road up toward the entrance about 50-75' We have had numerous wrecks at this area over the years and two this year already where cars have gone off the road and down into the creek.
Will not be able to attend the next meeting because of work. But I ask for the board to strongly push for an 8' fence mainly for security reasons for the property owners directly affected.

  3. Ken -

Thank you for your post. I apologize for the late project kick-off notice...I had intended for us all to get together earlier, but I too, have been having to put in a lot of extra hours at work.
I can certainly appreciate your need to have an 8' high privacy fence..Jamerson Road is very busy. I am in the process of checking with Cobb County Zoning to see if a 8' high fence is code compliant (I heard a rumor that 6' is the limit). If 8' is not code compliant, I'll see if we may be able to get a variance approved for you (no guarantees of course, but if we work together we may be able to get you want you need).
I agree, a picket fence for your property is inappropriate. I was hoping to isolate the picket fences to the properties next to the neighborhood signs...all other property owners are currently scheduled to receive the privacy fence.
I wish you could make it to the next meeting, but certainly understand. I hope you find this blog to be a good avenue to voice your opinions, ideas, and thoughts.

    Best,

    Tim

  4. Hey Ken,

I stopped by Cobb County DOT this morning and purchased a copy of their latest plans (I'll get you a copy if you want one)....they are showing a guardrail extending from your western property line moving toward the east, ending at eastern property line of 1919 Falcon Wood Drive (Bobby Donathon's home). It looks like your concerns will be addressed. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Best, Tim
